white winter trees, covered in snow

Today, it snowed. It is the second snow of the season. But I'm really considering it the first snow, because the real first one was before Halloween, and it melted the next day. SO, today was a day to be spent inside, drinking hot chocolate, photographing Olivia's cats (which is truly addicting) and eating grilled cheese.

It turns out that today wasn't an inside day... Later on we went outside (multiple times) for multiple photo shoots — which you will see in a couple of upcoming posts! :)

Please listen to this song! It is pure beauty.
(Skip to 00:55 seconds... it's live, so they talk in the beginning.)

{thanksgiving part 2}

SO... I had this idea of taking pictures of all of the wonderful food I just consumed, but I quickly forgot about that when I finally had it on my plate. This Thanksgiving, as well as the rest, I ate extremely fast, and plunged myself deep into a food coma.

The things that I did get a picture of: the beautiful candles... and my pumpkin cheesecake! Some thing I am extremely proud of — pumpkin cheesecake with a maple pecan glaze, and... it had no cracks! :)

...plus the sunset

{thanksgiving part 1}

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

This years thanksgiving is being spent at my house. We have family coming from all over. This morning we all went for a walk with the five dogs: Milo (mine), Shadow, Buddy, Rosie, and Mario. When we got home my little cousin started shoveling (taking snow from the pile and dropping it into the already cleared area.)

see part 2 later today (I made a pumpkin cheesecake!)

in my feathered hand

Our day started with a warm cup of coffee, and somehow ended in an extreme ballet stunts photo shoot. (they may not be extreme to her, but anything more than a leap is a lot more than I can do.) (PS this is Oceanna)

to those who asked: the shirt Oceanna is wearing is one I made out of my common ground fair shirt. They are extremely easy to make; just cut strips from the bottom of the tee shirt going up. Simple as that.
