so hold my hand, I'll walk with you my dear (Haystack 2)

So in this post, you can see my work (the book box) and other people's work too. At the end of the weekend, we were able togo around to all of the other studios to see what everyone else made. The other classes were ceramics, pinhole photography, wood working, metal smithing, and blacksmithing.

taking over this town, they should worry (Haystack 1)

This weekend I went to Haystack. Haystack is an art school in northern Maine. Every year Haystack has a program where one student from almost every school in Maine is chosen to go. Usually the program is for juniors or seniors in high school, but this year I was lucky enough to be chosen to go. I was extremely excited to go, and it was so amazing. I met a lot of cool people, the two girls in my pictures are Dora and Katelyn. The school is right on the ocean, with a beautiful campus, and we got lucky with nice weather all weekend. (unfortunately I got a sunburn.)
They had many different classes, unfortunately I did not get into my first choice which was Pinhole Photography, but I did get into Mixed Media, which turned out to be really fun. We basically deconstructed encyclopedias all weekend. In my book, I cut out the entire inner pages, to make a box! You can see how it turned out below, I also put some pictures from the encyclopedia and lyrics to songs, quotes etc. in the front on my box.
At the end of the weekend, we were able togo around to all of the other studios to see what everyone else made. The other classes were ceramics, pinhole photography, wood working, metal smithing, and blacksmithing.
