cinnamon buns

 These are the most decadent things you will ever eat for breakfast.


cinnamon buns:
21/2 cups self-rising flour*
3 1/2 oz butter
a pinch salt
2 egg yolks
2 tbs superfine sugar
1 cup milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon



filling:
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbs superfine sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbs butter, melted


icing:


1 cup confectioner’s sugar
2 tbs boiling water
2 tbs cream cheese, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbs butter, softened


 

*{if you don't have self-rising flour, use this substitute: }
    1 cup self rising flour = (approximately) 3/4 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt
{whisk the butter, egg yolks, and milk together}

{mix the flour, salt, sugar, and cinnamon together}


{combine the wet and dry ingredients to make a soft dough}


{mix together cinnamon, sugar, brown sugar, and butter to make the filling}
{roll out the dough on a large piece of waxed paper}

{evenly spread the filling on the rolled out dough. Roll up and cut into eight pieces}
{brush with an egg wash (mix one egg and a little milk- brush onto rolls)}


{put the buns on a greased and floured pan. bake at 350˚F for 30-35 minutes}


{add confectioner's sugar, cream cheese, butter, vanilla and boiling water to make icing}
