cupcakes:
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate | 1 cup brewed coffee |
2 cups sugar | 1/2 cup sour cream |
1 1/2 cups flour | 1/2 cup vegetable oil |
3/4 tsp baking soda | 2 large eggs |
1/2 tsp salt |
frosting:
1/2 cups butter | 4 tbs heavy cream |
3 cups confectioner’s sugar | 1 tsp vanilla |
3 tbs cocoa powder |
cupcakes:
{melt the chocolate in a double boiler over hot water, or in microwave}
{sift the sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl}
{brew hot coffee}
{wisk together the coffee, sour cream, and vegetable oil}
{gradually wisk in eggs, then wisk in the chocolate}
{add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients}
{fill muffin tins 2/3 full and bake at 350˚F for 20-25 minutes}
{cream the butter}
{sift the sugar and cocoa powder, and add to the butter}
{add the cream and vanilla and mix}
{frost cupcakes}
{...and eat}
